Seraphim Rolls out New S3 and S4 Series Modules
Date:Mar 31, 2022
Seraphim recently announced the launch of new S3 and S4 series lightweight dual-glass PV modules, in order to better meet the increasing demand for rooftop distributed PV products.⠀
⠀
At present, there are three versions of lightweight dual-glass modules promoted by Seraphim, namely the 72-cell module based on 166mm silicon wafers, and the 54-cell and 60-cell modules based on 182mm silicon wafers, having a module power of 400W to 460W meeting the needs of various types of rooftops. The new products inherit the high quality of Seraphim’s previous products and perfectly integrate advanced technologies such as PERC, MBB, half-cell and high-density encapsulation.
In addition, the 1.6 mm+1.6 mm bifacial design is used for our new lightweight dual-glass modules, with a shorter light transmission route and higher efficiency than the traditional 2.0 mm+2.0 mm double-glass design. Thinner bifacial design in conjunction with a 28mm ultra-narrow frame can greatly reduce the weight of modules and can withstand the weight load of older roofs whose bearing capacity may not be sufficient. The bifacial design can achieve a 10-30% power generation gain, and depending on the application environment, can also provide a 30-year warranty based on its lower micro-crack and attenuation rate, higher insulation and fire protection rating, longer service life, etc.
With the rapid development of nationwide rooftop distributed PV projects, the residential and C & I sectors are having an unprecedented boom period. As a result, the development and construction of the rooftop market is facing some issues that need to be addressed, safety being one particular concern. The load-bearing capacity of roofs, insulation, and fireproof performance of power stations directly affect the safety of residents and their properties.
Polaris Li, president of Seraphim, said, “When designing this module, we carefully analyzed the causes of household power station accidents around the world over the past decades. Based on the study of the characteristics of the natural environment and of rural buildings in China, with product safety uppermost in mind we committed to creating a perfect user experience for customers while also providing maximum economic value to our customers.”
The new S3 and S4 series lightweight dual-glass modules have been fully integrated into the Seraphim product offering.
